  1. fixed

Freeform layouts fit on smaller screens

    • Profiles with freeform positioning (Unlock positioning) now scale down on laptops and smaller monitors so everything fits on screen, instead of cutting off elements placed near the edges. The editor still shows the full 1:1 layout.
  2. better

    Smoother sakura forest loading

    • The cherry blossom forest on the home page now fades in smoothly after loading, instead of popping in abruptly. It also waits until the page is ready before starting to draw.

  1. new

    Message notifications

    • When someone messages you, a card pops up wherever you are in the dashboard, with a button to reply. Chats you muted stay quiet.
    • When you come back, it tells you how many unread messages are waiting.
    • Want them while the tab is in the background too? Tap “get these on your desktop too” on any of those cards.
  2. better

    See who’s around

    • Chats now show how many people are online on yen.bio right now, live. Anyone with their dashboard open counts, and the green dots on chats mean the same thing.

october 4, 2026

  1. new

Sticker messages, chat wallpapers, and a livelier dashboard

    • Send stickers in chats: tap the smiley in the message box and switch to stickers. Hearts, stars, a ghost, and starbursts that say lol, omg, gm and more.
    • Every chat theme has its own doodle wallpaper, new messages land with a little tilt, and adding a reaction pops some confetti.
    • Your overview shows your page live on a phone, plus a sticker sheet of milestones to collect, like going live, your first link and 100 views.
    • Insights got drawn by hand: views are a marker line with the busiest day circled, and the countries your visitors come from are flag stickers on a map of the world.
  2. new

    A new layout: Sticker

    • Your page as a desk full of stickers: your picture is a die-cut sticker, your name sits on a sticker in your accent color, your bio is a note taped down, and every link is a sticker that peels up when someone points at it.
    • Pick it in Customize → Layout. It works with your colors, background, effects, badges, music and freeform positions.
    • The home page now shows all ten styles on real phones, each running a real page that uses it, and a different bunch every time you visit.
  3. better

A new dashboard, themes, and an easier editor

    • The whole dashboard got the sticker look, and you can give it a theme: midnight, bubblegum, sky, matcha, sunset, lavender or mono. Pick one in Settings or from your account menu.
    • The editor shows one part at a time, grouped into the look, your stuff and extras, with next and back buttons to walk you through it.
    • Undo and redo your changes (Ctrl Z and Ctrl Shift Z), publish with Ctrl S, or hit "undo all" to go back to what’s live. The publish button counts what you changed.
    • Closed the tab before publishing? Next time you open the editor it offers to bring your changes back.
  4. new

    Chats got a lot better

    • React to any message with an emoji: double-click to heart it, or hold it down on your phone.
    • Reply to a specific message (swipe it on your phone), and tap the quote to jump back to the original.
    • Send photos and gifs: paste them, drop them on the chat, or use the photo button.
    • Pin the chats you care about to the top, and give each chat its own theme, like bubblegum, matcha or paper.
    • Name your group chats. Links are clickable, and a message that's just a few emoji shows up big.
    • Whatever you were typing is still there when you come back, and a "new" line shows where you left off.
    • Scrollbars in a chat match its theme.
  5. better

The shop, the market and sign-in got the sticker look

    • The shop is laid out in aisles, with everything on its own sticker and a receipt that spells out how paying works.
    • Names on the market are "hello my name is" tags, and templates are polaroids you can open for a closer look.
    • Log in, sign up, password resets, the help center, gift links and the "nobody here" pages all match the new home page now.
    • Card and PayPal checkout only shows on Premium now, where it works. Other items had a card button that only ever showed an error.
  6. new

    A brand new home page

    • The home page is now a desk covered in stickers of real yen pages. Pick them up and throw them around, and watch the shadows follow your cursor.
    • Names of the newest people on yen roll past on tape, every feature is a sticker you can peel, and the styles are live pages you can open.
    • Type a name and it tells you right away if it's free.
    • There's a record on the desk too. Tap it to play a song.
  7. better

The leaderboard is now the chart

    • The top 3 are big stickers taped to the page: your page's background as the art, your picture stuck on the side, and the song on your page as a little label. Hover one and it peels up.
    • Numbers 4 to 12 are stuck on the board, and everyone after that has a row with the song on their page.
  8. better

    Discord roles update every hour

    • Your Discord roles now follow your yen.bio account every hour instead of once a day: new Premium, badges and verification show up in the server much sooner, and the Server Booster badge follows your boost within the hour.
  9. better

    A roomier editor

    • In Customize, the dashboard menu shrinks to a strip of icons (hover one to see its name), giving your settings much more room.
    • Drag the left edge of the preview to make it wider or narrower; it remembers the size you pick (double-click the edge to reset). Freeform positions stay exactly where you put them at any width.
    • The section tabs wrap onto a second row instead of being cut off.
  10. better

    More typewriter lines with Premium

    • Premium pages can now cycle through up to 15 alternate bio lines with the typewriter effect (free pages keep 6). If your Premium ends, the extra lines stay saved and come back when it does.
  11. better

    You can @mention aliases

    • An @alias in your bio (or your typewriter lines) now turns into a clickable tag too, without a picture, and links to that alias, which opens its owner's page.
  12. new

Halloween is coming: the pumpkin hunt starts Oct 20

    • From October 20 to November 2, yen.bio goes full Halloween: a haunted night on the home page (moon, bats, fog, a haunted house), pumpkin-orange everywhere, cobwebs, and a spooky dashboard. Pumpkins hide around the site: on the home page, your dashboard, the leaderboard, the shop, the styles gallery, and on a few different profiles each day.
    • Click 5 of them while logged in to earn the limited Halloween 2026 badge. It won't be available again after the event. Your dashboard tracks which ones you've found.
  13. fixed

No more captcha on profile pages

    • Profile pages no longer load a Cloudflare captcha, which was adding empty space at the top of every page. Views are still protected from bots by a signed page-load check and rate limits.
    • The editor's desktop preview is now the size of your own browser window, so your card fits in it exactly as it does on your screen.
  14. fixed

The editor preview now matches real screens

    • The desktop preview is now shaped like a real monitor (your own window's proportions) and the phone preview like a real phone, so freeform layouts look the same in the editor as on your live page, instead of spilling off the bottom and scrolling.
    • With freeform positioning on, the floating music player is outlined in the preview, so you can see what it will cover.
    • Freeform pages no longer scroll with nothing below: the page is now exactly the size of the screen, the way it looks in the editor.
  15. fixed

Song seeking fixed, and smoother cursor effects

    • The music player sometimes showed a length of 0:00 and wouldn't let you seek. It now always knows how long the song is.
    • The cursor effect preview in the editor no longer slows the editor down, and it rests after a few loops until you hover it. Cursor effects on profiles also do less work on every mouse move.
  16. new

Snap to grid for freeform positioning

    • With Unlock positioning on, dragged items now snap to a grid lined up with the middle of your card, and the grid shows while you drag. Pick 8, 16, 24 or 32px (or Off) under Fine tune → Freeform layout. Hold Alt/Option while dropping to place freely.
    • Click an item and use the arrow keys to nudge it: one grid step per press, four with Shift, one pixel with Alt/Option.
  17. fixed

Typewriter mentions stay tags the whole time

    • With the typewriter effect, an @mention now pops in as a tag and is deleted in one go, instead of turning back into plain text while the line backspaces. A half-typed name can no longer briefly tag someone else.
  18. better

iPhone videos just work as backgrounds

    • HEVC videos (the iPhone default) and .mov files are now converted to a format every browser plays, right in your browser while you upload. No more re-exporting: pick the video and watch the progress.
    • Big videos are scaled to 1080p on the way, which usually makes them small enough to fit the upload limit too.
  19. better

@mentions now link with text effects on

    • @mentions in your bio turn into clickable profile pills even with a text effect on. With the typewriter, each line's mentions become links once it finishes typing, including your cycling bio lines.

  1. new

Choose your username after signing up with Discord

    • New to yen.bio through Discord? A box on your dashboard lets you pick your username (it checks if it's free as you type), or keep the one we suggested from your Discord name. It doesn't use up your one free username change.
  2. fixed

    Proper usernames for Discord sign-ups

    • Signing up with Discord now gives you a username that follows the usual rules (at least 2 characters, not reserved, not taken). If your Discord name doesn't fit, a few numbers are added, and you can change it in Settings.
  3. fixed

One account per person, now in private windows too

    • Opening a private or incognito window no longer gets around the one-account rule. Need a second account? An Extra account voucher in the Shop still does it.
  4. new

New Discord bot commands, and nicer cards

    • /random shows a random yen.bio page, with a 🎲 button to roll another.
    • /badges shows the badges on anyone's page, sorted by rarity.
    • /help lists everything the bot can do.
    • /profile, /leaderboard and /verify have new cards: avatars on the leaderboard podium, badges and top links on profiles, and a clear list of the roles /verify gave you.
  5. fixed

The home page shows up instantly on phones

    • The landing page no longer sits on a blank starfield for a while on mobile: the headline, nav and hero now appear right away.
    • iPhone Safari no longer shows a zoomed-out desktop layout: the scrolling logo strip and style gallery were quietly making the page twice as wide. Every page, profiles included, now stays at phone width, including inside the TikTok and Instagram in-app browsers.
    • The claim box on the home page now fits on narrow phones instead of pushing the Claim button off the edge.
  6. better

The Server Booster badge now follows your boost

    • If you stop boosting the Discord server, the Server Booster badge is now removed automatically (it is checked daily for linked members). Boost again and claim it from the dashboard to get it back.
  7. fixed

Clearer messages when you already have an account

    • Trying to sign up for a second account on a browser or network that already has one now tells you straight away, instead of showing "Check your email" with nothing coming.
    • If you sign up with an email that already has an account, you now get an email saying so, with links to sign in or reset your password. The sign-up page itself looks the same either way, so nobody can use it to check whose email is registered.
