    • A device that already has an account can no longer make another from a private or incognito window.
    • New accounts can’t be made through a VPN, proxy or Tor (Apple’s iCloud Private Relay is fine), or with throwaway email addresses.
    • Need a second page for a brand or project? Extra account codes still work.

    The Help center is now full documentation

    • yen.bio/help now has a page for every part of the editor, explaining every setting: what it does, its choices, its default and which layouts it works on.
    • New Compatibility table: every design setting checked against all nine layouts.
    • New "Settings that conflict" page: combinations that cancel each other out, like a bio effect hiding your @mentions, and how to fix them.
    • A Troubleshooting page for the usual "why isn’t this showing" questions, and search that jumps straight to the right setting (press / or Ctrl K).

    Music player and video fixes

    • Setting the music player to Top left or Top right now puts the full player at the top of the page. Before, it ended up in the bottom right corner.
    • A background video with "Play video sound" on always plays now, even without the click-to-enter screen. It stays muted until visitors tap through that screen, because browsers block sound before then.
    • The tips next to editor settings now say exactly which layouts each setting works on.

    Two-character usernames

    • Usernames can now be just 2 characters long, like yen.bio/xo.
    • Claim one when you sign up, use your free username change in Settings, or add one as an alias.

    A Help center for every feature

    • yen.bio/help explains every feature in plain words: layouts, links and blocks, Discord and Spotify, music, badges, templates, your account and more.
    • Search it with your own words, and copy a link straight to any answer to share it.
    • Find it in the dashboard sidebar and at the bottom of the home page.

    One account per person, and a Privacy Policy

    • Each person can have one yen.bio account. If you need a second one (a brand, a side project), an Extra account voucher lets you make it: enter the code on the sign-up page.
    • When you give up an @ (remove an alias or change your username), it stays reserved for you for 7 days, so nobody can grab it the moment it’s free.
    • There’s now a Privacy Policy explaining what we collect and why, and the Terms cover the new Shop and Market.

    Lyrics on the live Spotify card

    • The live Spotify presence block can now show the current lyric line underneath the track, synced to playback.
    • Turn it off from the block's settings if you'd rather keep it to just the track info. Not every song has lyrics available.

    @mentions, a Telegram card, and flat badges

    • Typing @username in your bio now links to that person's page, with their picture, if they're a real yen.bio account.
    • New Telegram block: shows a public channel or group's picture, name, description and subscriber count, with a Join button.
    • New "Chip" badge style (Your info → Name, bio and picture → Badges) draws every badge as a single flat color instead of its shaded artwork.
    • Discord's "server tag" badge can now show next to your name on the Discord presence block — click it to see which server it's from, when the server allows it.
    • The live Spotify card now has a softly animated backdrop from the track's own cover art instead of a still image.

    Special badges on the leaderboard

    • Some special badges now show next to a name on the leaderboard, right after the verified checkmark.
    • If you hide a badge on your page, it is hidden on the leaderboard too.

    Recolor your badges for real

    • Changing a badge color in Your info → Name, bio and picture now recolors the badge itself (its shading and outline too) when it uses our new artwork or icons, instead of only changing its glow.
    • A badge you have not recolored keeps its original colors, and its glow now matches them. A new Reset link puts a badge back to its original colors.
    • There are 32 new badge designs (classic, seasonal and achievement) plus 80 icons that staff can give out.

    Reset your design to default

    • Your look got messy? On the Publish step there is now a "Reset design to default" button. It puts the layout, colors, fonts, card and icon style, effects, cursor, background, avatar decoration and player style back to how a brand-new page looks.
    • Your name, bio, links, picture, music and sections are kept. Nothing goes live until you publish, and reloading the editor undoes the reset.

    3D tilt on the Panel layout

    • The Panel card now leans toward your mouse as you move over it, a little more gently than After Dark since the card is wider.
    • It uses the existing "Disable 3D tilt" switch (Your look → Fine tune), and turns itself off for visitors who prefer reduced motion. It never runs on touch screens.

    Crypto wallets as copy buttons

    • A wallet can now be a Button instead of a Card. It looks like your other link buttons, and tapping it copies the wallet address. Choose Card or Button when you add or edit a wallet.
    • Buttons do not look up a balance, so they load instantly.

    Your Discord picture stays up to date

    • If you signed up with Discord and later change your Discord picture, your yen.bio picture now updates the next time you log in, instead of breaking.
    • Only the picture is refreshed. Your name, email and any picture you uploaded in the studio are never changed.

    Crypto wallet cards with live balances

    • Add a wallet to your page from Your links (the wallet button). Pick Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin or Solana, paste your public address, and visitors see the coin, a shortened address, the current balance, and its dollar value, with a one-tap copy button.
    • Balances refresh every few minutes. You can hide the dollar value or give the card your own name.
    • Only use your public receiving address, never a seed phrase or private key.

    Discord server cards

    • Show your Discord server on your page with its icon, name, how many people are online, how many are members, and a Join button. Add it from Your links (the server button) with a permanent invite link.
    • The numbers update automatically, so the card always stays current.

    A new-look leaderboard

    • The top 3 now stand on a podium, with a crown for #1. Everyone else gets a cleaner list with a bar showing how they compare to the leader.
    • Avatar decorations show up on the leaderboard, verified accounts get their checkmark, and a profile picture that no longer loads falls back to the default one instead of a broken image.
    • It looks great on phones too, and there is a quick way to claim your own page at the bottom.

    Tag your templates and filter by tag

    • When you share a template you can add up to 3 tags like Minimal, Colorful, Dark, Neon, Pastel, Retro or Cute so people can find it. You can change them later from My templates.
    • The Templates gallery has a tag filter. Pick one or more tags to see only templates that have all of them. The official templates are tagged too.
    • Tags show on template cards, the template page and in the Discord link card.

    Avatar decorations

    • Add an ornament around your profile picture: a halo, crown, cat ears, neon or rainbow ring, fire ring, glitch ring, orbiting stars, floating hearts or petals. Find it in Your info → Name, bio and picture → Avatar decoration.
    • Pick "My Discord" to show the decoration you have equipped on Discord (it updates when you change it), or upload your own transparent PNG, GIF or WebP.
    • Decorations are part of a template, so shared templates can include one.

    Six new cursor effects

    • Besides Glow and Trail, your cursor can now leave sparkles, bubbles, hearts, fireflies or ripples behind it, or be a ring that swells over links. Find it in Extras → Effects → Cursor effect.
    • They use your cursor color and turn themselves off for visitors who prefer reduced motion.

    Verified checkmark on the leaderboard

    • Verified accounts now show a blue checkmark next to their name on the leaderboard (and in the Discord leaderboard card). If you hide your Verified badge, it is hidden there too.

    • The yen.bio home page now has a Leaderboard tab in its menu (and footer), so anyone can see the most viewed profiles in one click.

    Smoother template links for new visitors

    • Opening a template link while logged out shows the template with a "Log in to use this template" button. After you log in or sign up, you land right back on the template.
    • A template that was deleted or is not available now shows a friendly page instead of the generic 404.

  1. new

    Desktop 98 now boots like a real old PC

    • With the Desktop 98 layout, the click-to-enter screen is now a full retro start-up: a BIOS power-on screen, a cloudy boot splash with a progress bar, then a "Welcome to yen 98" log-on box.
    • Visitors press Log On (or Enter) to open your page. Your music and video start at that moment, and you get a little chime.
    • Press any key during the boot to skip straight to the log-on box. It is still controlled by the Click-to-enter switch in Extras.

    Layout previews show the real styles

    • The little previews in Your look → Page layout are now pictures of the actual styles, so you can see what you are picking. The official templates use them too.
    • The Panel description now says what makes it different instead of listing widgets that work in every layout.

    Template links look great in Discord

    • Paste a template link in Discord and it now shows a rich card with the template name, who made it, a description, the layout, how many people used it, when it was shared, and a preview image.
    • The card has a Use this template button and a link to the creator. Other apps (Twitter, iMessage, Slack) get a proper preview too instead of the generic yen.bio one.

    • In the Panel layout, turning off "transparent badges" now gives your badges their background back. Before, the switch did nothing there.

    Templates: share your look with anyone

    • The new Templates page has ready-made looks from yen.bio and from other people. Use one in a click and your page takes on its layout, colors, fonts, effects and background.
    • Share your own: turn your saved design into a template and either send the link to anyone or list it publicly in the gallery.
    • Templates only change how your page looks. Your name, bio, links, picture and music are never included or changed.
    • You can report a template that is not okay. Templates with several reports are hidden until we review them.

    Live Spotify shows only the song

    • The Live Spotify card now shows just what you are listening to. Your Discord name, avatar, status and activity are never shown.
    • When nothing is playing it simply says you are not listening right now.

    Music player inside the Panel card

    • The Panel layout now supports "Inside the card" for the music player (Extras → Music → Player → Position), so it sits at the bottom of the card.
