  1. better

Mythic usernames need more than length

    • Two-character usernames are no longer automatically Mythic — clean ones can still get there, but random or messy ones drop to Epic or Rare.
    • Three-character names work the same way for Epic: quality matters, not just being short.
  2. new

    Raise a Momo

    • Dashboard → Raise a Momo lets you adopt a little sticker pet, name them, feed/play/pet, and dress them in basic looks.
    • Happiness soft-caps while you’re away — it never crashes to zero. Care actions won’t double-count if you tap twice.
    • Invite one friend to co-parent the same Momo (exactly two parents). Shared XP and care; the owner can remove a co-parent with a confirm step.
    • Show your Momo on your public profile as a small sticker card. momo’s shop stays at Store → momo’s shop for coin cosmetics.
  3. new

    Handle inventory, gifts and trades

    • Dashboard → Inventory lists your main @ and every alias with its grade, an active marker on your public identity, and Make main.
    • Gift an alias to another user by their @ (with a confirm step). Reserved names stay ineligible; listed or in-trade aliases stay locked.
    • Propose a 1-for-1 alias trade — both of you confirm, the swap is atomic, and you can cancel or let it expire. The Market still works for paid sales.
  4. new

    Send videos in chat

    • Attach a short video (up to 2 minutes) in DMs and groups — it plays right in the message.
    • Video in chat uses your Premium upload allowance, same as profile video backgrounds.
  5. better

    Fullscreen 8-ball pool

    • Expand the pool table over the whole screen for aiming and shooting — exit anytime and the game stays where it was.
    • On phones, you’ll get a tip to turn sideways for a wider table.
  6. better

Fairer handle grades for real words

    • Everyday English words (like morning or lightning) get an extra boost on top of ordinary dictionary recognition, and “Why this rank?” calls that out.
    • Messy four- and five-character handles can drop to Uncommon instead of always staying Rare, so a clean longer word isn’t stuck below short junk.
    • Market name stickers now use the real handle grade (Rare and up), not just “four letters or fewer.”
  7. new

    Search and categories in Spaces

    • Discover Spaces by name or description, and filter by categories like gaming, art, music, and chill.
    • Space owners can set a Discover category in settings; staff can feature Spaces at the top of Discover.
  8. fixed

    PayPal Premium on phones

    • PayPal subscribe buttons show again on mobile for Premium — including on the Premium page and the public shop.
    • Shop card tilts no longer hide the PayPal checkout on iPhone Safari.
  9. better

    Invite-only Spaces and clearer settings

    • Owners can set a Space to public (listed in Discover), invite-only (link only), or private encrypted group.
    • Invite-only Spaces stay off Discover but anyone with the link can still join.
    • Space settings are easier to scan: branding, visibility, invite link, description, and a member filter when the room gets big.
  10. new

    Create your own Space

    • From the Spaces tab, tap “create your own space,” name it, and you’re the owner of a new public room.
    • It shows up in Discover so others can find and join it — invite link and settings are ready right away.
  11. new

    Pin messages in Spaces

    • Space owners and admins can pin up to five messages so announcements stay at the top of the chat.
    • Tap a pin to jump to the original message; unpin anytime from the same menu.
  12. new

    Space invites and banners

    • Space invite links open a redesigned landing page with banner, avatar, and member faces — and drop you into the Spaces tab when you join.
    • Owners can upload a Space banner in settings; it shows on the invite page, link previews, and as a strip at the top of the Space chat.
    • Opening a Space feels like a room, not a plain group chat: member strip, settings entry, and friendlier empty state.
  13. new

Spaces tab, wider chat, and /c clear

    • Messages splits into Chats (DMs and private groups) and Spaces (public rooms), so Spaces aren’t mixed into your DM list.
    • Chat messages stretch edge to edge again instead of sitting in a narrow middle column.
    • Group owners and admins can clear spam with momo: /c 50 deletes the last 50 messages, or /c @name 50 clears that person’s recent messages.
  14. new

Spaces — find public rooms to hang in

    • Browse Spaces from the dashboard sidebar: featured (verified), trending (biggest), recently active, and a simple “for you” list when friends are already inside.
    • Join or open a Space from that page, or peek at featured ones from the compass in Messages — private groups never show up in Discover.
    • Invite links at /group/… still work the same way.
  15. better

Only group owners can style and name groups

    • Only the group owner can rename the group chat, or change its theme and background. Regular members and admins can no longer change them.

  1. fixed

    Pool runs smoothly

    • Shots roll out smoothly instead of lagging, and you always see where the balls go instead of them jumping to where they stopped.
    • Letting go of the cue always shoots (or cancels), even if your finger slides off the bar, so it no longer gets stuck pulled back.
    • Your shot starts rolling the instant you let go, with no pause while it reaches the server.
  2. better

Smarter handle rarity, with the reasons

    • Handles are graded on a new scale: Legendary (one character), Mythic (two), Epic (three), Rare (four or five, or an exceptional longer handle), then Uncommon, Common and Basic.
    • Length always comes first. After that, a real word, being easy to say, clean characters and striking patterns (like zzz or 123) count in a handle’s favor, while random strings, number tags and underscores count against it.
    • Every handle card now has a "Why this rank?" section explaining the grade, plus a score breakdown you can open to see each factor’s points, the total and the thresholds for each tier.
    • Handle and badge cards now open with a tap on phones, and stay open while you look at the breakdown.
  3. new

    Handle cards

    • Hover (or tap) the @handle on someone’s page to see how rare it is: one character is legendary, two epic, three rare, four uncommon. The card also shows when it was claimed, its UID and any other handles that forward to the page.
    • Custom badges no longer show a "% of pages" line, since only their owner has them.
    • After Dark can now show your @handle under your name. If you already use After Dark, the editor asks once whether you want it; new After Dark pages show it, and you can switch it under Freeform layout → Show @handle.
  4. better

Badge tooltips that tell the story

    • Hover (or tap) a badge on someone’s page to see a proper card: the badge and its name, what it’s for, how rare it is, what kind of badge it is, when they earned it and how many pages have it.
    • yen.bio’s own badges get their rarity from how many pages really have them, so the rarest ones show as legendary.
  5. fixed

    Reactions and likes work again

    • Reacting, liking, reposting, bookmarking and posting on the feed stopped working with "This action is temporarily unavailable". They work again, and a hiccup in that part of our system won’t take them down like that any more.
  6. better

Pool plays like the real thing

    • Aim and power are now separate, like GamePigeon: drag anywhere on the table to swing the cue round the white (or tap a spot to point at it), then pull the cue under the table back and let go to shoot.
    • You can hear it now: the cue strike, balls clacking (louder the harder they hit), cushion thuds and balls dropping into pockets.
    • Balls visibly roll as they move, the cloth has a proper nap, potted balls roll into a tray under the table, and a "your shot!" pops up when it’s your go (with a little buzz on phones that support it).
  7. new

    Game records and stats

    • /top shows your chat’s records: most games won, pool champions, biggest payout, best fish and biggest heist haul.
    • /stats (or /stats @someone) shows a player’s card: games won by game, biggest payout, best catch, heists pulled off and coins earned from side hustles.
    • Every momo command now has its own icon, and uno shows more of your hand on phones.
    • momo’s coins got a new look: a crisp 8-bit pixel coin.

  1. better

Pool upgrades, provably fair crash and more

    • Pool: a rematch button when a game ends, a count of chat members online to watch, an aiming-guide toggle for harder games, and a new segmented power meter.
    • Crash is now provably fair: every round shows a fingerprint of its secret before take-off, and once it ends your browser checks the crash point wasn’t changed.
    • Posts on feed profiles now have emoji reactions, bookmarks and “send to a chat”, like the main feed.
    • Mentions and failed messages keep their outline even on fancy bubble effects, nameplates calm down when your device asks for reduced motion, and the Aurora nameplate fills wide rows.
  2. better

    A tidier /help

    • /help is now one small card with tabs (games, coins, casino, last.fm, fun, group) instead of a giant list. /help casino jumps straight to a tab.
    • Typing / shows the handful of commands people use most; keep typing to search all of them.
    • Fixed: coins from /beg drop into the cup, the /crime card no longer leaves a stray glow, the heist odds bar shows the real chance, and the Neon city nameplate’s grid covers the whole floor.
  3. fixed

No more getting stuck outside your account

    • Made your account with Discord and tried to log in with your email? The log-in page now tells you to use “log in with discord” (or “forgot it?” to set a password) instead of just saying it failed.
    • If the sign-up page says you already have an account, it now gives you buttons to log straight back in.
    • A Discord log-in that doesn’t go through (like using a different Discord account than the one you signed up with) now explains what happened instead of silently sending you back.
  4. better

    Feed profiles, redone

    • Private accounts show a proper lock icon instead of an emoji.
    • Names with letters that dip below the line (y, g, p, j) no longer get their tails cut off.
    • Feed profiles now take on your page’s accent colours: a glowing banner (when you haven’t set one), a ring around your picture and matching highlights.
    • Bigger picture and name, your @, pronouns and location as little tags, stats as tiles you can tap, and smoother tabs.
    • Profiles show your display name instead of your @ when you’ve set one.
  5. new

8-ball pool, heists and new ways to earn

    • /pool: real 8-ball pool in any chat. Aim on the table, set your power and shoot, and everyone in the chat watches every shot roll out live. Challenge someone with /pool @name, or play for coins with /pool @name 500 (winner takes the pot).
    • /heist 200: plan a job on momo’s vault and the chat joins your crew. The bigger the crew, the better the odds. Get away and you double your buy-in.
    • /fish: cast a line every 40 minutes. Reel in junk, fish, treasure, or (very rarely) momo’s lost crown.
    • /weekly opens a big chest of coins once a week, /beg asks momo’s friends for spare change, and /crime is a risky little job: a big payday or a fine.
  6. fixed

    Your display name, everywhere

    • The dashboard greeting, the sidebar, guestbook notes, statuses and chat search now show the display name you picked instead of the name you signed up with. Posts, stories, notifications and follow requests show your display name before your @username.
  7. new

    momo’s shop glow-up: 26 new looks

    • Every nameplate has been redrawn as a little animated scene: a boat bobbing on the waves, a shooting star over the milky way, a synthwave city with a scrolling grid, coins pouring onto a pile, and more.
    • Eight new nameplates: Love letter, Snowfall, Rainy night, Firefly forest, Lava lamp, Koi pond, Aurora and Nebula.
    • All the bubble effects got richer: rolling candy stripes, falling sakura petals, two layers of ocean waves, a spinning neon ring, sparkling bevelled gold and more.
    • Nine new bubbles: Matcha, Midnight, Sunset, Lovestruck, Frosted glass, Terminal, Aurora, Lava and Prism.
    • Name effects are glossier and glow, and there are nine new ones: Sakura, Sunset, Toxic, Glitch, Aurora, Galaxy, Chrome, Eclipse and Prism. (Sparkle is now Glitter, and Glow is now Neon.)
  8. fixed

    Ocean nameplate fix

    • The Ocean nameplate’s waves no longer leave a hard edge on the right side as they roll.
